On Apple Imports to Russia in 2025

In 2025, the volume of apple imports to Russia decreased by 10.4% (by 44.7 thousand tons) compared to the previous year, totaling 383.5 thousand tons. The key factor behind the decline in foreign supplies was the further expansion of domestic production. Specifically, the country’s gross apple harvest grew by 11.5% (+206.9 thousand tons) — from 1,791.6 thousand tons in 2024 to 1,998.5 thousand tons in 2025.

Supply trends by country in 2025 were mixed.Shipments increased significantly from China (by 13.1 thousand tons), Georgia (by 11.2 thousand tons), Iran (by 7.9 thousand tons), Chile (by 5.4 thousand tons), Argentina (by 4.0 thousand tons), and Azerbaijan (by 2.1 thousand tons). Imports from South Africa, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Uruguay also saw slight growth.At the same time, import volumes dropped from Moldova (by 33.4 thousand tons), Turkey (by 26.2 thousand tons), Belarus (by 15.4 thousand tons), and Serbia (by 12.6 thousand tons). Deliveries from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan also decreased slightly.
