The file attached below presents statistics on the sown area, production, and yield of carrots in Russia, covering national totals as well as breakdowns by federal district and region.
The statistics for Russia’s federal districts and regions cover the commercial agricultural sector only (agricultural enterprises and peasant farms) and exclude rural household statistic. The annual national data for Russia reflect the commercial sector and rural household data both separately and in total.
Carrots are cultivated across most Russian regions. In 2025, for instance, Russia featured 18 regions with a production volume of 10 thousand tons or more, and 52 regions producing 1 thousand tons or more.
The largest carrot-producing region in Russia is the Volgograd Region. In 2024, it accounted for 37.0% of total harvests, and in 2025, for 37.9%. The TOP-10 regions produced 73.1% of all carrots in Russia in 2025.
